KavaCon Health, Safety, and Assumption-of-Risk Disclaimer

KavaCon is an educational, cultural, and social event produced by Dignatas Ventures (“KavaCon,” “we,” or “us”). Attendance and participation are voluntary.

Health and product warning Kava, botanical products, dietary supplements, food, beverages, and other products offered, sampled, discussed, displayed, or sold at KavaCon may affect individuals differently and may involve known or unknown risks, including allergic reactions, adverse interactions, impairment, illness, injury, or—in rare cases—serious medical complications.

KavaCon does not provide medical advice and does not represent that any product is safe, effective, or appropriate for any particular person. Statements made by exhibitors, vendors, presenters, sponsors, attendees, or other third parties are their own and have not necessarily been reviewed or endorsed by KavaCon.

Before consuming or using any product, attendees should:

• Review its ingredients, warnings, serving information, and source;     • Consult a qualified healthcare professional, particularly if pregnant or nursing, under medical care, taking medication, living with a health condition, or sensitive to botanical products;     • Avoid combining kava or other potentially impairing products with alcohol, medications, controlled substances, or other products when the combination may be unsafe; and     • Refrain from driving, operating machinery, or engaging in hazardous activities if impaired.

Never consume an unidentified product or anything supplied outside an authorized vendor or event program. Possession, distribution, or consumption of unlawful or unauthorized substances is prohibited. Independent vendors and exhibitors

Unless expressly identified otherwise, vendors, exhibitors, presenters, sponsors, and product manufacturers are independent third parties and are solely responsible for their products, services, representations, labeling, legal compliance, and conduct.

Attendees are responsible for deciding whether to purchase, accept, consume, or use any third-party product. KavaCon does not guarantee the quality, composition, legality, safety, efficacy, or fitness of any third-party product or service.

Assumption of risk

By registering for, entering, attending, or participating in KavaCon, each attendee knowingly and voluntarily assumes the risks associated with:

• Consuming, sampling, handling, or being exposed to food, beverages, kava, botanical products, supplements, and other products;

• Crowds, travel, slips, falls, communicable illnesses, allergic reactions, impairment, and the acts or omissions of other attendees or independent third parties; and

• Participation in demonstrations, activities, entertainment, and other event programming.

Each attendee accepts personal responsibility for their health, behavior, belongings, transportation, and consumption decisions.

Release and limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, each attendee releases and agrees not to hold liable KavaCon, Dignatas Ventures, the venue, and their respective owners, officers, employees, volunteers, contractors, sponsors, and agents for claims, injuries, illnesses, losses, damages, or expenses arising from attendance or voluntary participation, including the voluntary consumption or use of products and the conduct of independent vendors or other attendees.

This provision includes claims arising from ordinary negligence only to the extent such a release is enforceable under applicable law. It does not release liability that cannot lawfully be waived, including liability for gross negligence, reckless or intentional misconduct, or other non-waivable conduct.

Attendee conduct and emergencies

Attendees must follow event rules, product instructions, venue policies, and applicable laws.

KavaCon may refuse service, remove an attendee, contact emergency services, or take other reasonable safety measures when it believes a person may present a risk to themselves or others.

Anyone experiencing a possible medical emergency should immediately notify event or venue staff and call 911 or the applicable local emergency number. Any assistance provided by event personnel is not a substitute for professional medical treatment.

Minors

No minor may consume, purchase, or receive an age-restricted product. Any minor permitted to attend must remain under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian, subject to applicable law and KavaCon’s admission policies.

No waiver of consumer rights

Nothing in this disclaimer limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited or waived. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Governing law

This disclaimer is governed by the laws of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be handled in Orange County and Florida, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Attendee acknowledgment

I confirm that I have read and understand the KavaCon Health, Safety, and Assumption-of-Risk Disclaimer. I understand that consuming or using any product is voluntary, and I accept responsibility for my personal consumption decisions and the associated risks.
